Reasons Why Thai Tourists Should Travel in Thailand

Many foreigners come to Bangkok each year and most Thai people come to foreign countries from different perspectives. Many Thai people want to travel abroad every year because they want to relax with their family or friends after working hard throughout the year. However, many Thai people also want to travel within the country because of the following reasons.

Firstly, Thailand has many interesting cultural places where many Thai people do not aware of such as Doi Suthep Temple in Chiang Mai where many tourists like to go there every year in order to pay respect to the Buddha image in the temple. Specifically, Thai people should go to visit so that they feel very comfortable in their minds and after that they can work happily. Moreover, crocodile farm is interesting for many Thais. Most Thai people should come here because it is very fun to see a lot of crocodiles’ show.

Secondly, Thailand is very cost effective comparing to many countries. Generally, most people in anywhere in the world like to save money for other necessary things so if they choose to travel in Thailand, they can save in a lot of things such as accommodation, transportation, etc. For example, Thai people can save more than 5,000 baht per day if they choose to stay in the same hotel in Thailand rather than foreign countries. In addition, food in Thailand is much cheaper than many countries; for example, it is very easy to find food which cost about 50-100 baht in anywhere in Thailand especially in many food courts in many department stores.

Lastly, Thais should travel within their countries because of the economic reason. The more they spend in Thailand, the more Thai government can get such money for necessary projects such as transportation or education project. As a result of above economic reason, Thai government not only use such money for helping the poor in Thailand but also they can use money in developing the country. To make it simpler, Thais should spend money in Thailand for the interest of Thai people.

In summary, Thais should aware of many factors before traveling broad, such as cost, interest or places for above 3 reasons. As a consequence, Thais government should make a good traveling campaign especially for Thai people so that they can choose to travel in Thailand rather than foreign countries.

Part II: Summary

Direction: Summarize the following passage, making it one unified paragraph, 80-100 words long. Remember to keep the events and information in the same order as the original, and use your own words in the summary (do not copy sentences from the original)

Coffee is indeed the world’s most popular drink-over 400 billion cups of coffee are happily consumed each year. So, just who is drinking all this coffee? People from every country around the world, certainly, even though the Americans, the French, and the Germans consume over 65 percent of the world’s yearly production by themselves. According to where they are from and their personal preference, coffee lovers the world over enjoys this aromatic beverage iced or steaming hot, black or with milk; with lemon peel or whipped cream; with spices such as cinnamon, ginger, or cardamom or with chocolate; with brandy or whiskey; and even with a pinch of salt or pepper. Coffee drinkers start their day with It, drink it as mid- morning pick-me-up, sip it after lunch, and linger over it after dinner and dessert.

The first coordinated attempt to cultivate the coffee plant was made on the Arabian peninsula around 1100 A.D. Arabs extracted the beans from the red coffee berries, roasted them, and then boiled them in water to make qahwa. By the 1500s, coffee had taken hold all over the Middle East, and the world’s first coffee shop was established in Constantinople. Coffee came to Europe through the port of Venice around 1600 and only seven later was introduced to America by Captain John Smith, the founder of Virginia. The Dutch became the first to see the potential in transporting and cultivating coffee as a business in 1690, but they had to contend with smugglers, who secretly took coffee plants and seeds to Brazil from Ceylon to sell.

Many of the important coffee-producing countries owe their beginnings to those first smugglers.

For all practical purposes, coffee beans are of two types-Arabica and Robusta. As the name indicates, Arabica derives from the earliest cultivated species in the Middle East. Arabica beans cost more because they are highly prized for their rich favor and aroma, and also because they require a great amount of care to cultivate properly. Robusta, on the other hand, requires less care, and so grows more successfully in West Africa and Southeast Asia. It tolerates different climates better than Arabica and contains twice the caffeine of Arabica as well.

As people consume more and more coffee, they wonder about its effect on the health. Coffee contains caffeine, an alkaloid compound also found in tea and cola nuts, among other products. Coffee drinkers worry that coffee might be additive and that caffeine might have harmful effects. Studies have shown that caffeine does stimulate the central nervous system, as well as the cardiovascular system. It increases blood pressure up to a point and also increases the secretion of gastric acid, thus aiding digestion. It is highly valued for it ability to make people feel more alert and less tired, and for that reason it is a favorite of students and office workers. It also helps fight with migraine headaches, and for that reason may be a favorite of teachers and bosses. Most experts agree, however, that caffeine does not pose a danger if consumed in moderate amounts. So, if you are a coffee drinker who is worrying about caffeine, relax. Have a “cuppa joe.”
